Ecoceane Vessels
Ecoceane Vessels are put through extensive testing.
Results of an Independent Test of the Cataglop XLD carried out in France are as follows:
Two cubic metres of heavy fuel was released into a testing area. Within three minutes, the Cataglop XLD was able to recover all two cubic metres of the released oil.
The Cataglop XLD can remove up to forty cubic metres of oil per hour depending on thickness of the oil. The vessel can clean up to 10,000 square metres in one hour and can collect two tonnes of duckweed in one hour.
C.E.D.R.E. is a non-profit making association acting as an operator for the French Government. It was created in 1978 in the aftermath of the Amoco Cadiz oil spill in a bid to be more fully prepared for accidental water pollution and to strengthen the national response organisation. It is responsible, on a national scale, for documentation, research and experimentation on pollutants, their effects and the response means and tools that can be used to combat them.
